Whether you have already purchased (and are living in) your Windsong home, or you have chosen your plan and are making choices of colors and finishes during the building process, some of the predictions that top Southern designers have made for 2024 might help influence your choices.
“Editing”
Whereas previous trends often lean toward filling in spaces with colors, textures, and including many of the pieces from your previous home, the outlook for 2024 includes a cleaner, more “restrained” style, with lots of spaces for the eye to rest.
Neutrals
Not your boring old beige, however. The new year’s neutrals are rich in texture, and include a warm palette of greens, yellows, browns, even amber, rather than the cool blues and grays that have dominated the past decade.
“Layered” Design
Just because your space is simplified and “edited” doesn’t mean that you can’t include some of your favorite things. The new layered trends pair old and new, even found and refinished items paired with more modern pieces.
Time-Tested Materials
Wood, stone, and metal are not only durable materials, but have made a real splash in current decorating schemes. Live-edge wood furniture with metal bases and accents pair well with stone décor accents, such as statues, bowls, and the like. But any wood, metal, and stone creates a feeling of bringing nature inside your home.
Natural Light
This one’s a no-brainer when it comes to your new Windsong home! In the entire time we’ve been designing and building award-winning homes, a main feature has been a plentiful supply of wide windows. Your biggest decision is here is what – and whether – to use as window treatments!
Windsong has always set trends, both in style and quality, which is why our homeowners refer friends and family when folks they know are looking to right-size and live their best next-chapter.
