(A Boomer Poem, inspired by Crosby, Stills & Nash, 1970)
I’ll make the tea
While you tend the flowers in the courtyard garden. Hey,
We’ll prepare a healthy meal, and sit on the front porch and
Wave at neighbors who pause in walks to chat with you and me.
Look around us now, we live in our dream home and everything is good
A cozy living room, wide windows illuminate the
Open space we’ve decorated for two, only for me and you.
Our house is a very, very, very fine house
We’ve our own private courtyard
On our peaceful boulevard
A community built for folks like me and you.
Spending peaceful days
Reading and relaxing, and enjoying everything
This is what we dreamed, imagined for our lives
Happy in our dream-home space, it’s true…
This home made for me and you.
Our house is a very, very, very fine house
We live in luxury
That’s maintenance-friendly
Can it really be true?
Windsong builds a very, very, very fine house
For folks like you and me
With everything we need
Welcome to Windsong ~ Where Life’s A Breeze!
